A Big Week For Our Boy

We are happy to report that our family is healthy again.  Thank you for your prayers!  It was a long ten days of sick babies, but we are back on our feet.

This was quite a week for Keaka!

After many conversations and questions for Kumu and I, he decided to make a commitment to Christ.

Click HERE for more details on that.

What a joy to see our little guy start his own journey with Jesus!

Today we had Keaka's 4th Birthday party.  I am so sad to say it, but I FORGOT MY CAMERA!  I did take a little video on my phone as we were en-route.  (Promise we don't normally have a table in the car.)

Leiahi was so tired, but woke right up for the spiderman party :)
It was a wonderful celebration, and an exciting week for Keaka all around.

Weekly Wrap-Up: The Domino Effect

Here is how the week started.

There was a brief pause for a Birthday celebration.

And this is how the week has ended.
(I told you she loves Minney.)

In spite of our best efforts of sanitizing and not sharing toys or spaces, we have had the domino effect.

Please join us as we pray for a complete healing in our family!

YWAM Kona's Elevated Music releases 3 new albums

In case you aren't on YWAM Kona's email list, we wanted to share the email that was sent out on our behalf today.

Having this emailed was a total honor for us.  We are thrilled that such a global audience of YWAMers and friends of YWAM across the world are now aware of what we are doing here in Kona.

YWAM Kona, University of the Nations
Aloha YWAM Friends and Family,

Exciting things are happening in the area of music and we'd like to share with you some of the fruits of YWAM Kona's Elevated Music ministry. We are delighted to announce the launch of three new albums by some of YWAM Kona's worship leaders. The new releases are show a variety of styles and genres. They carry a message that proclaims the glory of our God and calls all to go into the nations.

Glory - Compilation Album
Allow your spirit to fully worship with Glory, a compilation CD from Youth With A Mission in Kona, Hawaii.  Glory beckons listeners to glorify the name of the Lord no matter where they are and what season of life they are in.

Glory offers a variety of musical expressions and styles that appeal to a range of musical tastes while keeping an authentic theme of fervent worship. Its corporate worship songs reflect the heartbeat of the Kona prayer room, with melodies that provoke the soul to greater love. The honesty found in the poetic lyrics will stir your heart and blow your mind of how great the glory of the Lord is.  The CD includes upbeat anthems proclaiming the character of God and songs that express deep longing for Him. The music of Glory is clearly crafted by those who have spent much time waiting before the Lord in prayer and worship.

Circuit Riders Album

In 1798, a revival spread across america.  Out of this movement, a band of evangelist, called The Circuit Riders, took the simple gospel into the frontiers of America.  A modern day group of Spirit led evangelists have taken up the torch to once again set a fire in all people across the world.  The songs captured on Fight For Every Soul have been birthed out of this desire.  A new sound of missions has arrived.  These songs will provoke your heart to take the fire of God within you, into every part of your life.

Lindy - Album

Lindy's debut release, The Sweetest Surrender Unto The Greatest Awakening, captures the depth of her heart in a pure and simple way.  Using only acoustic instruments, this 3-song EP displays Lindy's passion for Jesus and her desire to be in His presence.  Her powerful voice mixed with beautiful instrumentation and prayerful lyrics will lead you closer to His throne.

All three albums are now available at www.ELEVATEDMUSIC.com or iTunes.

Weekly Wrap-Up: Birthday Season

Vasco Birthday season is officially in full swing...

Kumu celebrated his 33rd Birthday by going night diving for lobsters with a group of friends.

He is pictured below with his giant catch.

Here it is, pictured next to an averaged size slipper lobster.
1.5 lbs short of the state record.

We also had a small party for Kumu.

Unfortunately, you can't read them, but the boys wore matching
"I Dig My Dad" shirts.

Our lovely Leiahi all dolled up.
She absolutely loves Minney Mouse.

Pool Party :)

Tootsie Comes To Town

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

We had our much loved Tootsie (Kumu's Mom) come for a visit.

You can see Kamalu was thrilled.

Leiahi was instantly obsessed with her new Minney Mouse cup.

As was Keaka with his Spidey cup.
(Spiderman is his new "thing" even though he's never even seen the movie. :)

Tootsie was able to join us for the annual church picnic at a local park.
Kumu led a wonderful acoustic worship time.

Below is a little clip of how Leiahi and Kamalu like to roll.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend as well!
